Ukulima I-Buckwheat

I-Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum), okanye (i-Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) sisityalo esiphezulu kwi protein esiphuma njenge ntyatyambo, ukusukela mandulo sasi khuliselwa ukuze kusetyenziswe inkozo zayo. Ixhaphakile kwelase China, Russia, ityiwa kakhulu nase Mpuma Yurophu, ibuckwheat ayinabo ubudlelwane ne ngqolowa, kodwa ke ngamanye amaxesha yaziwa njenge ‘nkozo’ okanye ingqolowa nokuba ayisiyiyo ingca.

I-Buckwheat engenayo igluten ‘iinkozo’ zityiwa zikrwada, ingqekembe okanye kuphekwe ipapa, okanye igutywe ibengumgubo wokuxova, maxawambi isetyenziswe ukudidiyela utywala. Amagqabi we buckwheat asetyenziswa kwi ti ephungwayo.

Ikhuliswa Njani I-Buckwheat

Isityalo esinembewu encinci nengcambu esulungekileyo, ibuckwheat ikhetha ibhedi ye mbewu esulungekileyo, eqinileyo ekwaziyo ukuhluza kwaye ekwaziyo ukumelana nentlobo zomhlaba ezahlukileyo. Ikhula kakuhle kakhulu kwi nitrogen esezantsi, umhlaba ongaxinenanga onesanti one asidi kunye ne pH ephakathi. Nokuba ityalwe kumhlaba ongachumanga, ibuckwheat ikhula kakuhle kakhulu xa uthelekisa nezinye iingqolowa.

I-Buckwheat ivuthwa kwi veki ezilishumi (10) ukuya kwezilishumi nambini (12) emveni kokuhlwayela. Akukho bani ukuchanayo ukukhula kwayo kuba umphezulu wesityalo uyadlula ngenxa umzantsi usele uyimbewu. Ukuvuna (kufuna ungangxami) kufuneka kuvunwe xa malunga no 75% wembewu sele ivuthiwe. Umyinge wesivuno uphakathi ko1100 ukuya ku 1600 kg/ha.

I-Buckwheat ayiqhelekanga ukufakwa kuhlelo lokujikeleziswa kwezityalo kuba isebenzisa iiminerali kakhulu, ingakumbi iphosphorus. Kufuna ukuqwalaselwa oku xa kuchunyiselwa isivuno esizayo.

Njenge sivuno esiluhlaza somgquba, ibuckwheat iluncedo kuba ivelisa okuninzi okomileyo.

I-Buckwheat Kuma Hlelo Okulima

I-Buckwheat ayivamanga ukudityaniswa kuhlelo lokujikeleziswa kwezityalo kuba isebenzisa iiminerali kakhulu, ingakumbi iphosphorus. Oku kufuneka kuthabathelwe ingqalelo xa kuchunyiselwa isivuno esizayo.

U-Dokotela (Dr.) Hans Kendal, oyingcaphephe kulawulo lomhlaba kunye nemveliso yesivuno wase North Dakota State University, uthi “ezizityalo zizivelisela ngokwazo (iintsalela) zezityalo ezingakwaziyo ukulawuleka xa kukhuliswa ibuckwheat”.

Njengesityalo esiluhlaza somgquba, ibuckwheat iluncedo kuba ivelisa okuninzi okomileyo kwaye kwelase USA, ibuckwheat iluncedo njenge sityalo esikhula ngoku khawuleza esogquma ezinye.

I-Buckwheat Nee Nyosi

I-Buckwheat ibonaka ihluma rhoqo ixesha elide kwaye inomtsalane kwintlobo ezohlukileyo zezinambuzane, hayi kuphela izitshabalalisi ezitya izityalo kunye neenkumbi ezifumaneka efama, kodwa neenyosi zibandakanyiwe. I-Buckwheat, nangona isezantsi kwi protein (11%) ivelisa incindi  kwaye esisityalo sikukudla kwinyosi. Imveliso yobusi ingaphakathi ko 70-100 kg/ha ukuya ku 300 kg/ha kwizilimo ezomeleleyo ze buckwheat.

I-Buckwheat iqhuba kakuhle kakhulu xa idityaniswe nezinye izityalo kunye ne 2.5 hives/ha ziyakhuthazwa.
