Work For Peace

Peter Magubane is a consummate artist with the lens and he has quite rightly gained an outstanding international reputation. In Peter's stills it has been used to bring to the notice of a wider audience a remarkable record of what has happened in a beautiful but sad and divided land in the traumatic upheaval of the uprisings since June 16th 1976.

Since then the crisis in our land has deepened and we are a whisker away from catastrophe. Peter gives all of us an opportunity to realise that this is so and perhaps we can be moved to take what action we can to help dismantle apartheid and ensure that such scenes captured in Peter Magubane's lens will not be repeated again and again in our land. Work for justice and so work for peace.
