The Mandela Family

The Mandela family gathered for a private function at Tuynhuis, the President’s residence in Cape Town.

Through the course of Nelson Mandela’s life, he was married three times. His first wife was Evelyn Ntoko Mase who he divorced in 1958.

His second wife was Winifred Nomzamo Zanyiwe Madikizela who he divorced in 1996 and his final marriage was to Graça Machel who was formerly the wife of assassinated Mozambican President Samora Machel. Madiba has 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
