The tented camps at Shindzela Safari Camp are simple, comfortable and unpretentious.
It’s an authentic African safari where the focus is still on experiencing all that the bush has to offer. The canvas tents allow you to keep cool in summer and warm in winter and let in the sounds and smells of the bush so you can unwind and get in touch with nature without giving up on modern day amenities like a warm bed and private bathroom.
Every tent is elevated on a wooden platform, opens up with a wooden entrance door and have adjustable canvas flaps over the mesh windows. The thatched roofs compliment the safari experience and the en suite bathrooms are made from reeds for an intimate atmosphere.
Equipped with hot water, hand basin, a flush toilet and comfortable bedding as well as solar lighting to enhance the safari experience at Shindzela Safari Camp. There are mosquito nets above the beds and a lose-standing fan. The front patio, looking out onto the waterhole, is the perfect place to have your morning coffee.
Shindzela caters for people who want to get away from modern life for a while and therefore has no television but Wifi is available in the general area. There is an inviting swimming pool and comfortable lounge chairs to sunbathe on while sipping on an ice cold drink from the bar. At this affordable accommodation in the Timbavati, delicious home-cooked meals are served around a long table and at night the traditional African fireplace is always alight so that guests can sit around and listen to the sounds of the animals nearby.
