Eagles Crag Lodge is situated in the private Shamwari Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape. Spectacular sightings of birds of prey are observed from exclusive suites, hidden within the imposing mountain cliffs. Each suite offers guests a modern space fashioned of glass and stone with amenities that serve as well-rounded sanctuary for a bush getaway. On leisurely afternoons, indulgent spa treatments can be enjoyed at one of the 2 exclusive treatment rooms.
Kids can take part in indoor activities while mom and dad take some time to kick back and relax. Wildlife viewing at Shamwari Game Reserve is a highlight for all travellers. Two exclusive game excursions are conducted every day in specialised game viewing vehicles for approximately 3 to 4 hours each, led by trained tracker-guides, with coffee stops in the morning and sundowner stops in the late afternoon.
The area surrounding Eagles Crag Lodge is renowned for its large concentration of birdlife, namely Black Shouldered Kites, Booted Eagles, Pale Chanting Goshawks and Secretary birds that you can witness from the lodge but also as you head out to explore during a walking safari.
