The South African Berry Growers Association, SA Berries, was established in 2011 to address common industry issues affecting blueberry, raspberry and blackberry growers.

While still in its infant shoes, the non-profit grower organisation, already had seventy members in 2020. 

The South African berry industry currently exports approximately 13 500t annually and part of the association’s mandate is to promote sales and consumption of berries in local and export markets.
