Guests at this 5-star lodge in the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve can expect nothing less than 5-star dining to complement their bushveld experience.
There is an abundance of wildlife in Pilanesberg Nature Reserve. Home to the Big 5 as well as more than 300 bird species and other mammals, the park is known as one of the most animal-rich in the country. Although a lot of hype always surrounds our precious Big 5, rare animals such as the cheetah and the majestic sable also call the Pilanesberg home and make for once-in-a-lifetime sightings.
Game drives depart twice daily from the Ivory Tree Game Lodge in 10-seater open game vehicles with experienced rangers who are always ready with interesting facts and personal anecdotes about the surrounding area. Bird watching enthusiasts will not be disappointed by the enormous variety of bird species that nest within the boundaries of the park.
Meals at the lodge are hosted by the rangers who meet and interact with guests in a friendly yet professional manner.
The outdoor boma provides a unique and charming dining venue where dinners and drinks can be enjoyed under the brilliant South African skies. A buffet-style restaurant and fully-stocked bar will keep you more than satisfied. Special dietary requirements are catered for on request.
Children of all ages are welcome at Ivory Tree Game Lodge. Children under the age of 6 are accommodated on safari through a specialised children's experience referred to as a ‘bush bumble’. Babysitting services are available at an additional cost for parents wanting peace-of-mind while enjoying some of the adults-only activities on offer.
