Membership of SA Olive is compulsory as of June 2012 through the implementation of a statutory measure released by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
The statutory measure and statutory levies apply to all olive producers, processors and importers in the following categories:
Table Olive Producers and Processors
Olive Oil Producers and Processors
Table Olive Importers
Olive Oil Importers
Other interested parties not belonging to the above categories can become Associated Members of SA Olive. This involves an annual membership fee, and associated members are unfortunately not granted any voting rights. An application is available for download on SA Olive's website.
