Membership of AASA

Membership to the Aquaculture Association of South Africa (AASA) is open to any individual, partnership, body corporate or research organisation interested in the research, breeding, production, promotion, marketing and distribution of any aquaculture-related endevour.

There are different membership categories within AASA, which includes Association Membership, Corporate Membership and Individual Membership. The Association Membership is structured to serve associations and societies within the aquaculture industry.

The membership is filed under the association’s name and through this membership, associations are afforded one vote on Aquaculture Association of Southern Africa constitutional matters and receive benefits of a newsletter service and reduced registration at association congresses and workshops.

Aquaculture Association of Southern Africa's Corporate Membership is designed to accommodate firms, companies, organisations and institutions.

The membership is filed under the name of the corporation and members are allowed one vote on Aquaculture Association of Southern Africa's constitutional matters. The newsletter service and reduced registration at association congresses or workshops are benefits that are also extended to Corporate members.

The final membership classification is Individual Membership which is filed under the name of the individual.

Through the membership, the individual is able to cast one vote on AASA's constitutional matters and receive one package benefit regarding the newsletter service and reduced registration at association congresses or workshops.

Members are to commit themselves to the aims and objectives of the AASA, as stipulated in the association’s constitution.
