AASA’s membership benefits includes access to research findings, which the association has invested in and shares regarding the sustainable economic, social and environmental production of aquaculture.
There are three classes of membership to the Aquaculture Association of South Africa (AASA) namely: Association Membership, Corporate Membership and Individual Membership. Each of these membership classes have an array of benefits that are provided by the Aquaculture Association of South Africa.
Members of AASA are able to attend the bi-annual aquaculture conference hosted by the association as well as the seminars, workshops and symposia organised by AASA which serves to educate members and industry partners about the production and research on aquaculture.
Members also have access to the knowledge shared among other members and industry partners to ensure the most accurate and relevant information regarding aquaculture production is available.
AASA is a member of the World Aquaculture Society affording its own members access to global relationships and information found within the World Aquaculture Society.
Members will also be able to benefit from relationships through the various sectors within the association including: Abalone Farmers' Association of South Africa, Catfish Producers, Marine Finfish Farmers' Association of South Africa, Tilapia Producers, Trout Association of South Africa, the Mpumalanga Trout Forum, shellfish producers, research institutions, ornamental producers and emerging farmers.
