Simple, Small and Intimate - Activities
Balule, Greater Kruger
Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge is the ideal placed to take that perfect once-in-a-lifetime wildlife or African sunset photograph.
Animal Encounters
Guests frequently comment on the spectacular amount of wildlife and birdlife that is often unmatched by previous game viewing or birding experiences. This is largely due to the diversity of the surrounding vegetation, the riverine forest and open plains.
Two game drives take place daily in open game viewing vehicles. Your game ranger and tracker operate as a close-knit team. Animals aside, here is a chance to learn about the complex ecosystem and medicinal uses of plants.
Gourmet Bush Dining
Breakfast is served after your morning safari and ranges from eggs to bacon, tomatoes, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, cheese and toast with home-made bread. Lunch at the Lodge is served under a large Acacia tree and includes salads, cold dishes and freshly baked bread and dessert.
Dinners are notably memorable and are served outdoors around a blazing campfire, with the possibility of game viewing from the plains. Cape wines accompany your meal. Typically you can expect to be served a starter, with a South African inspired main course, followed by a spectacular dessert.
