Ezulwini River Lodge is set against the banks of the Olifants River, within Balule Nature Reserve. What makes this location special is that this private reserve shares an unfenced border with the Greater Kruger National Park.
This means that animals can freely move into the area, making for superb and varied sightings throughout your stay. The riverine setting at Ezulwini itself offers a truly private South African safari experience with idyllic views over the water.
The leafy trees add to the seclusion and attracts a variety of birds, which you can hear, and see during your free time, in between game drives. You can make the most of these natural sights and sounds by walking along the wooden bridge that leads you onto the specialised viewing deck.

Be sure to keep a look-out for “Shoshangaan”, a curious local elephant who often ambles close to the lodge to investigate the goings-on.
