Game Drives

Although your game drives start with a very early 05h00 wake up call, the fresh coffee and rusks that await you before you head off into the wilderness might help.

That first lion or elusive leopard sighting might also make it well worth the early start. There is also the option for the late afternoon game drives, which continues on into the evening when you can experience the nocturnal inhabitants such as hyenas, jackals, lions, and owls.

Bird Watching

The riverine forest of fig and mahogany trees is a haven for a variety of birds that enjoy the leafy canopies that drape over the viewing deck. The Kruger is home to over 500 bird species, many of which you may see from the lodge.

The Olifants River attracts the water-loving birds to its banks offering something to look at from this private South African safari lodge. Keep an ear out for the unmistakable calls of the Fish Eagle.

Star Gazing

Enjoy a love affair with the South African night sky. With very little light pollution, an unobstructed view to the heavens can be made. Lay outside on your private viewing deck, and watch for shooting stars.
