Your Experience
Woodbury Tented Camp in Amakhala Game Reserve is a place where you can enjoy the wonders of the bush in peace and harmony. Wake up to the first stirrings of sunlight peeking through the canvas walls. Rise to the call of the dawn chorus. After a quick coffee head out to the teeming plains on a game drive exploring the area for some big game. As the sun rises higher in the sky head back to camp for a well deserved banquet breakfast that changes daily.
Relax by the pool or on your private veranda, watching the game below you, safely behind the fence. Delight at the high tea, served mid afternoon, a selection of salads, pastries and cakes. Late afternoon venture out into the bush with your experienced guide and watch the game emerge from out of the shade and head for water. Enjoy the thrill of the chase as a cheetah bursts forth after the gazelle. Or the antics of lion cubs play fighting each other. Explore the non big game side of the reserve on horseback. Feel the wind on your face as you canter with the herds. Experience the wildlife from a different perspective as you get close to the towering legs of a giraffe.
