Amakhala Game Reserve

The Amakhala Game Reserve is located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The reserve boasts excellent Big 5 game viewing and beautiful landscapes to explore. The topography of the Amakhala Game Reserve is extraordinary, including five of the seven biomes in South Africa. The reserve is home to big game such as elephant, rhino, giraffe, lions, cheetah, buffalo; plains game like zebra, black wildebeest, red hartebeest, oryx, eland and over 250 species of birds. This spectacular display of raw nature can be experienced on private game drives, night drives, walking safaris and boat cruises.

Other activities like archery, birding, fishing, spa treatments and star gazing may also be enjoyed. The Bushman’s River runs through Amakhala Game Reserve, making possible a variety of water activities to partake in throughout the year.
