Tucked under the knobthorn and jackalberry trees, this South African safari accommodation overlooks the Manyeleti River. The Moroccan inspired decor is chic and with only 8 chalets, guests can enjoy personalised attention. You will have a butler, tracker and ranger who work together to make sure that no request goes unmet.
The Sabi Sand region is well-known for its Big 5 and boasts a high concentration of leopard. Simbambili even runs an online diary chronicling the life of three local leopards called “Saseke” (the beautiful one), “Mafufenyane” (the angry one) and “Nyaleti” (the star).
Games drives depart twice daily for your game viewing pleasure and there is also a chance of encountering wild dogs and the cheetah here - both being very rare. Breakfast is served near the riverbed or within a secluded bush location. Afterwards, guests can depart on a nature walk that caters to various interests and fitness levels.
Gourmet 3 course dinners are served in the restaurant by the fireplace, or by lantern lighting at the outside boma (talk about romance!). No persons under the age of 16 years are permitted at Simbambili Game Lodge, which makes it a peaceful option for a romantic honeymoon in the Sabi Sands.
