Timeless Glamour - Activities
Sabi Sands, Kruger National Park

In the Northern region of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, you will find Simbambili Game Lodge.

Game Drives

This private reserve boasts approximately 147 mammals including the "Big Five", 114 reptiles, 507 birds, 49 fish, 34 amphibians and 336 trees. 4x4 vehicles transport between 4 - 6 guests at a time (never any more), which makes for comfortable viewing.

Heading out in small groups also allows time to ask the rangers and trackers questions about the animals that you will encounter. The afternoon drive heads out just after a late lunch and extends into the evening. This allows guests to encounter the more nocturnal species of the Sabi Sands, such as caracals, civets and even those big eyed bushbabies, if you are lucky.

Bush Walks

Try not to miss the daily bush walks at Simbambili. Nothing beats walking through a field of butterflies, or getting to learn about the smaller creatures that inhabit the area. The Shangaan trackers will explain how to track animals by their prints and dung. You will also learn about the medicinal uses of numerous plants and trees, along with some interesting folklore tales to keep you entertained.

Cultural & Community Experience

Guests at Simbambili can also partake in an optional visit to Shangaan or Nyani Cultural Villages to share in the customs and culture. Simbambili is part of the Thornybush Community Project gardens, whereby the delicious food served in Sabi Sand resorts is grown by local women as part of a community collective. There is also a visit to Hananani Primary and Manyangana High School - both supported by Simbambili.

Amani Spa

This South African safari accommodation offers soothing spa treatments at the Amani Spa. Especially great for the honeymooners, guests can partake in holistic body, skin and beauty treatments. This is your time to relax your body and soul.

This Lodge does not hold back on the romance. Besides the honeymooners, this location offers an ideal spot for Sabi Sands safari weddings. Imagine saying “I do!” whilst surrounded by friends, family and the African bush. The privacy of this lodge makes it ideal for such an intimate occasion.
