Your Experience

Take a step back in time at this historic lodge situated in the famous wilderness region of the Sabi Sands. Kirkmans Kamp is a restored 1920’s Transvaal homestead. It maintains all of its charm and authenticity, as well as its old tin roof. The spacious verandas offer an ideal spot for afternoon tea, as warthogs and nyalas graze below.

18 Guests cottages evoke an era of elegance mixed with modernity. Here, you will discover vintage furniture and framed photographs from the early safari days along with plush linen, air conditioning and of course, WiFi. Enjoy your evenings by the fireplace, and cool off during the day at the rim flow pool overlooking the watering hole.

The atmosphere at this historic lodge in the Sabi Sands is relaxed yet social. You can mingle with other guests within the bar area and share your safari stories during dinner time while gathered in the traditional outside boma. Let’s not forget the game viewing opportunities. There are day and night game drives, walking safari and bush walks to make the most of those Big 5 and bird sightings.
