There’s an array of benefits of joining the South African Sugar Association (SASA), some of which rest on the large size of the South African sugar industry within which the organisation operates.

SASA provides the whole sugar industry with specialist services and as a result, it requires expertise from people of so many different disciplines making SASA one of the most diverse places to work. There are approximately 1 000 people in a wide range of specialist positions within the South African Sugar Association.

The organisation values creating a cooperative environment between all these people. SASA also values the sustainability of the local sugar industry and preserving its function and position as a major source of livelihood for the South African population. It ensures people who are part of the South African Sugar Association contribute to the socio-economic development of the surrounding community and the country.

The South African Sugar Association offers its staff fair and market-related practices and benefits through policies. This is informed by prevailing labour legislation to facilitate a fair environment. SASA also prides itself on providing people with the necessary resources to perform their tasks efficiently and with a high-quality standard. The organisation supports the growth of its staff members and specialists.

Transitions from junior specialisations to senior specialisations are met with the correct training and development opportunities. Respect, dignity and integrity are just some of the core values that are pertinent to the ethos SASA upholds and facilitates for all the interactions between their staff members and with their industry partners.
