Description
The river vernonia is a bushy shrub with broad oval leaves with wavy margins. The pale lilac coloured flowers can be seen in bloom during the South African autumn. The flowers form fluffy dense terminal clusters on the bush.
Habitat
The river vernonia grows along river banks and on the roadsides around South Africa. They are predominantly found in the Northern Province and the Kruger National Park.
