Game Viewing
The game drives at Phinda Vlei Lodge give you the opportunity to not only see the beloved Big 5 but also spot up to an unbelievable 415 bird species as well. A dream come true for any avid bird watcher.
The game reserve is home to the endangered black rhino and has been hailed as one of the best cheetah viewing facilities in the country if not the continent. Game drives take place twice a day under the direction of experienced guides and trackers who will eagerly share their vast knowledge with you.
Apart from conventional game drives, you can also engage in bush walks, seasonal night turtle drives, photographic excursions, tracking black rhinos on foot and participate in various other conservation-orientated activities. Children of all ages are welcome. However, no one under 16 is allowed to take part in a walking safari. Children aged between 6 and 11 are permitted on game drives at the lodge manager’s discretion.

Children
Children of all ages are welcome at the intimate safari destination. Children younger than 5 are not allowed to go on game drives, but babysitting services are available for parents who do not want to miss out on the amazing opportunity of a Phinda game drive.
