Members of South African Fruit Juice Association produce and market products ranging from 100% fruit juice or fruit juice blends to beverages.
The classification of the various products is carefully regulated, with fruit juices and beverages categorized as fresh fruit juice, unsweetened fruit juice, fruit nectar, fruit squash, fruit drink and fruit flavoured drink.
South African Fruit Juice Association members undertake to promote and support free and fair competition within the fruit juice industry and to adhere to the relevant legislation and regulations governing the fruit juice industry at all times. They commit to act honestly and ethically and to protect the seal of the Association and maintain the standards required for qualifying to use the seal.
People or companies that are actively involved in the manufacturing, importing, exporting, packaging, distribution, marketing and supply of fruit juice products – but no direct consumer sales - are eligible for full membership of South African Fruit Juice Association.
People or companies that have an interest in the free and fair trade and selling of fruit juice to the consumer and that support the industry through the supply of ingredients and packaging solutions and other services, are eligible for associated membership.
