Margaret Fourie after 25 years working in business became an ordained Anglican priest, in 1994. Her experience in both business and in the church includes running a national leadership and personal development consultancy.

She sits on various boards throughout South Africa, including HOPE Africa, which offers compassion and practical help to the homeless and to those with HIV/Aids, TB, and malaria. She has authored numerous publications many of which highlight the struggle of women in society and strive for equal rights. She has also worked as a speaker, facilitator and life coach. Today, Fourie is a Rector at St Patrick-on-the-Hill in Hogsback, Eastern Cape.
