Madikwe Game Reserve, North West Province
At the Impodimo Game Lodge Madikwe Game Reserve in two game drives are conducted twice a day.
Game Drives
At the Impodimo Game Lodge two game drives are conducted twice a day. The first excursion is early in the morning, and in a specialised game viewing vehicle a game ranger and Shangaan tracker leads the search for the roamers of the bush.
On morning drives, predators can be observed as they return from their hunt. Among the magnificent creatures who roam the vast bush is the Big Five - leopard, lion, rhino, elephant and buffalo. Late in the afternoon, a sunset bush drive sets of and sumptuous sundowners and canapes can be enjoyed while witnessing the sunset.
Bush Walking Safaris
After a sumptuous breakfast, a bush walking safari is led by an experienced game guide. On these exciting walking adventures an abundance of colourful birds can be spotted in the vast bushveld. The safari walks are ideal to track small creatures that are difficult to spot on game excursions. The diverse plant species and their medicinal uses can also be learned on walking trails.
Dining at Impodimo
Sumptuous canapes, baked goods and hot or cold beverages can be enjoyed on scenic bush drives. After the morning game drives, a hearty breakfast can be savoured. Dinner is served in the open-air boma, where mouthwatering Pan-African meals are enjoyed while reflecting on the day’s game viewing adventures.
Kids on Safari
Children over the age of 6 years are welcome on the game drives, however, families with younger children need not fear that their kids will miss out, as we offer a ‘kiddies bumble’ which is shorter and aimed at keeping the little one’s attention.
