Madikwe Game Reserve, North West Province

The Madikwe Game Reserve is known for its supreme game viewing opportunities, offering sightings of both the Big 5 and Super 7.

Game Viewing

Fortunate visitors may be lucky enough to spot the highly endangered African Wild Dog while being greeted by the calls of the extensive bird population and mischievous Vervet monkeys. Game drives are conducted both in the morning and in the evening from the luxury boutique safari lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve allowing visitors to experience peak animal activity.

Apart from the conventional game drives, the Jamala Madikwe deck and watchtower overlooks the savanna plains and watering hole offering superb game viewing opportunities. Safari walks are also available, with prior arrangement.

Bush Dining

Jamala Madikwe offers guests sumptuous meals designed by award-winning chef, Nico Verster. Winner of the Best Safari Cuisine in Africa Award for 2014/2015. Jamala Madikwe, affords diners the opportunity to dine in the Outdoor Boma area and relish starlit dinners on the Star Deck overlooking the waterhole.

Three meals including a gorgeous afternoon tea is served daily and a well-stocked bar is available to quench any lingering thirsts. A signed copy of the Jamala Cookbook is available on order.

Spa and Gym

The Jamala Spa boasts a proudly South African heritage and is open daily between 8am and 5pm. A variety of treatments ranging from full body detoxes and hot stone massages to manicures, facials and waxes are available from highly-trained professionals. The spa even offers a masculine experiences for their more adventurous male guests.

The Jamala Gym is complimentary to all visitors and includes a treadmill, elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, free weights and TRX training facilities.
