Gateway to Kruger - Actvities
Kruger National Park

Set out in an open 4x4 safari vehicle in the company of a ranger and tracker-guide, who will get you out into the wilderness to track some of your favourite animals.

Wildlife Viewing

The safari drives from Kruger Gate Hotel are well organised, with a chance to see zebras, lots of giraffes, warthogs, elephants, baboons crocodiles, hippos, lions, wild dogs, hyena and rhinos. Afternoon game drives continue after dark, with a specially filtered spotlight used to illuminate the nocturnal wildlife.

Day Excursions

While at this Hotel in the Kruger National Park you can easily head out to explore the surrounding area. Venture out on a self-drive to the Panorama Route, visit Pilgrim’s Rest, the Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, and the Three Rondavels.

You could also pay a visit to Perry’s Bridge Reptile Park on your way to visit the town of Hazyview nearby. Stop in at Elephant Whispers, which is home to six rescued African elephants.

Dining

Enjoy a buffet-style breakfast in the restaurant, or the a la carte lunch, which features traditional South African and international influences served on the wooden sundeck. Dinner is served under the stars at the Lapa restaurant. The Lapa offers a satisfying array of buffet dishes, including various game meat and steaming potjies.
