Kapama Karula means “place of peace” and Kapama Karula Lodge certainly lives up to its name. This 5 star Lodge is the luxurious flagship of the Kapama Private Reserve. Built on the banks of the Klaserie River, it offers amazing views from the comfort of your suite. From your first step into the lodge, a sense of serenity and peacefulness prevails.

All the palatial suites have wraparound windows, allowing for game viewing from anywhere in your suite. There is a constant movement of animals strolling to the river to quench their thirst. Kapama Private Reserve offers twice-daily game drives and guided bush walks, to explore the 13,000 hectares of South African savanna.
Animal encounters are frequent, with large herds of buffalo, antelope and elephant being resident in the reserve. Wherever there are large herds, there are always predators following them. After an exciting day of game viewing, a visit to the spa provides the consummate ending.
The glass-encased spa, often with impala nonchalantly walking by, offers a whole spectra of treatments for him and her. The fitness centre, fitted out with cardio and weightlifting equipment will help keep you fit and healthy. After your workout, you can take a visit to the steam room before plunging into an ice-cold bath.
