Kagga Kamma Private Game Reserve offers unique 'cave' styled suites that are integrated within the natural Sandstone formations. Each 'cave' suite has a terrace with a view and is furnished with comfort in mind.

Your Room

Star Suite and Outcrop: The Star Suite is set about 3 km from the Kagga Kamma Main Lodge. It is nestled between rock formations overlooking the fynbos plains. There is an outdoor shower with a panoramic view and a natural rock pool. There are no ceilings or walls to obstruct your view. For dinner you can enjoy a braai, before getting some shut eye in your double bed. The Outcrop is also set under the stars or sun with no walls or ceilings to obstruct your view. It is complemented with a double bed, basic bathroom amenities, lanterns and a glowing fire. Both of these accommodation options are only available through the summer months.

Cave and Hut Suites: Each 'cave' suite has a terrace with a view and is furnished with comfort in mind. Equipped with a double bed, en suite bathroom, air-conditioner, hairdryer, coffee/tea making facilities, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries. The spacious thatched-huts at Kagga Kamma resemble the traditional dwellings of the San people that once inhabited the area. Each hut has a twin or king-size bed with en suite bathroom, a double sleeper couch, air-conditioner, hairdryer, coffee/tea making facilities, bathrobes and guest amenities.

Chalets: At this natur reserve, the 3 bedroom chalets sleep 6 people. There are two bathrooms with a shower, bath, toilet and basin. The 8 sleeper chalet has 3 bedrooms and 1 sleeper couch. Overall it sleeps 6 adults and 2 children. There are two bathrooms with a shower, bath, basin and toilet. Each chalet has a private boma outside with views of the Cederberg. The kitchens are fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, an oven and stove. There is also a fridge, freezer, toaster and microwave. There are braai facilities too.

Camping: The Swartrug Campsite consists of five stands; each without power. There is a communal warm water ablution facility and a swimming pool. The campsite is tucked away 1.5 km, from the restaurant, curio Shop and bar. The Bobbejaanskraans Campsite is only accessible by 4x4. With no designated camping stands, no electricity and no ablution facilities, its a great place to be truly in the wilderness. Wood and ice can be purchased and collected at Reception.
