Addo Dung Beetle Guest Farm is located at the end of the Garden Route, at the entrance to the malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park.  Which are inspired by, and even resemble, actual dung beetles. It also forms part of a working citrus farm that exports fruit around the world. Despite their dealings with dung, dung beetles are revered in these parts. They are important for their role in improving the nutrients in the soil where they bury the manure, which is highly beneficial for agriculture.

Keep an eye out for these strange, yet helpful little heroes as they navigate their balls of dung. No doubt, the biggest attraction nearby is the Addo Elephant Park. Besides the famous Big 5, elephants are the main attraction here since their rehabilitation into the area after the 1930’s. Beside tours into the park, adventure seekers will love this area as there are a range of activities to partake in, such as quad biking, zip lining, swimming, fly fishing and kayaking.
