KwaZulu-Natal comprises of 800 km of east coast and inland areas. The KZN province is divided into 7 distinct geographical destinations, which includes three coastal regions (South Coast, Dolphin Coast and Elephant Coast), and inland regions such as the Drakensberg, the Midlands, the Battlefields and finally, Zululand.

The lush environment of Zululand encompasses three spectacular reserves.

The Zululand region has an abundance of beautiful natural landscapes. The Pongola and Mkuze rivers are slow-flowing and the surrounding wetlands are home to many unique bird species. The region also has numerous floodplains that supports a chain of tropic abundance.

Zululand houses three spectacular reserves - Ithala Game Reserve, Manyoni Private Game Reserve and Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. They offer true South African safari experiences, and visitors will have the opportunity to see the country’s amazing wildlife up close.

There are numerous towns in Zululand that are situated in lush environments, including the inland towns of Vryheid, Louwsberg and Paulpietersberg, as well as coastal towns like Pongola and Richards Bay. The traditional Zulu villages in the region showcases the historical and cultural importance of the Zulu people.
