Soutpansberg

The Soutpansberg, meaning "Salt Pan Mountain" in Afrikaans, is a range of mountains in far northern South Africa, within the Limpopo Province. It is named for the salt pan located at its western end.

Landscape view in Limpopo Province.

This is not a very well-known range, generally, and yet the most northerly mountain in Limpopo. Also, a little known fact is that the Soutpansberg has one of the highest incidences of floral endemism; more simply put, it means they've got a lot of plants that occur nowhere else. Maybe it's all that rainfall, about half of which occurs as mist.
