Sabi Sands, Kruger National Park
The Sabi Sands area is renowned for its Big 5 population, but regular sightings also include hyena, hippo, crocodile, impala, kudu and giraffes.
Game Drives
Game drives at Dulini Leadwood are conducted in six seater open Land Rovers. The staff will make sure you are keep nice and toasty on chilly mornings, with blankets and hot water bottles. The late afternoon/evening game drives involve sundowners where guests can break to socialise over refreshments and to watch the African sun set. The late drives are ideal for spotting nocturnal creatures such as civets, porcupines, owls, nightjars, caracals and hippos who come out of the water to feed.
Bush Walks
The option of daily bush walks is offered by the Dulini field guides and allow you to get up close to nature during this exclusive African safari experience. The tracker-guides will share their incredible knowledge of the surrounding trees and plants. These walks on foot are ideal for bird watching.
There are over 300 different bird species in the Sabi Sands area and some of the different bird species to keep an eye out for include the Grey Heron, Crested Francolin and Pied Kingfisher who frequent the waterholes and pools in the Sand River.
Bush Dining
You will not go hungry (or thirsty) at Dulini, with world class food and drinks available at every turn. All meals are African inspired, gorgeously plated and can be paired with a bottle from the extensive wine selection.
From breakfasts to high teas, you can enjoy the views as you dine on the viewing deck, which also overlooks the riverbed. Enjoy the option of your evening meals under the stars with braais (bbqs) in the open-air boma (outdoor enclosure).
