This diverse wildlife enclave provides the perfect setting the most authentic wildlife safari in South Africa. Well known for its birds, leopards and the rest of the Big 5 gang, the combination of walking and driving safaris will get you up close to this wildlife population so that you can snap up your best safari photos.
There are only 8 private suites here which allows for an intimate safari experience (no hordes of tourists). Large glass windows open out to wooden decks, with a view of the surrounding bush while paraffin lamps create an enchanting nighttime ambience.
Sounds good, right?
Meals are a social affair, best enjoyed in the traditional open-air boma. Sip on a glass of Notten’s specially stocked Pimm's No.1 while you tuck into oxtail potjiekos- a South African favourite. Vegetarians can enjoy an array of seasonal veggie dishes (be sure to try the roasted vine tomatoes!).
A quick tip for avid golfing enthusiasts- the Skukuza Golf course is only a 45 minute drive away.
