South African Table Grape Industry Membership Benefits

The South African Table Grape Industry (SATI) is an association open to all role players of the table grape industry, which includes farmers, raisin producers, fruit marketers, retailers and researchers, as well as social initiatives and other agricultural stakeholders.

South African Table Grape Industry (SATI) offers members exclusive access to a vast network of knowledge, predominantly focused on research projects within the local industry, global markets and trade associations. Furthermore, members are allowed to access valuable industry information not available to the public.

This includes statistics on intakes, exports and shipping, as well as extensive market data and partnership information. Members can join SATI’s partner-associations Agrihub and Phytclean for exclusive reports on the country’s table grape crop management, market trends, sales estimates and in-depth analysis on local and international consumer choices.

Members of SATI receive trade newsletters every week, that includes weekly crop estimates, season statistics and regional overviews. Non-members can subscribe to receive the full newsletter. Press releases are available on the South African Table Grape Industry website, which covers sales estimates, new partnerships, social campaigns, updates on harvests and expert opinions on farming and climate change.

Past and upcoming events are also made available to members, who are encouraged to attend trade shows, expos and awards to forge connections within the local table grape industry. Member farmers and researchers nationwide are invited to annual general meetings, as well as regional gatherings and any international events hosted in South Africa.

In 2019, SATI celebrated its 125th year of existence by launching a unique book chronicling it’s history titled The South African Table Grape Industry: 125 Years in Pursuit of Excellence. This publication is available to order on the association’s website.
