HPSA partners with many organisations in order to have the most effective increase in reach and impact for the support, resources and opportunities provided.
The private sector influences a large portion of South Africa’s economic growth through its trade, manufacturing, investment and technology. Therefore, private sector corporations partner with HPSA to provide low-income communities with opportunities and resources.
Some of the corporations and organisations that HPSA has partnerships with include The Spur Foundation, Nepad Business Foundation, PepsiCorps, Mutual and Federal Community Trust and Wesbank.
There are both corporate and non-profit organisations that HPSA partners with. HPSA is approached by many organisations and companies who wish to raise funds in support of HPSA’s mission but each request and proposal is first evaluated for its feasibility in a partnership with HPSA and requests are submitted to the organisation. The criteria for a national corporate partnership with HPSA outlines that the program developed should raise awareness of the HPSA brand and help advance the organisation’s mission.
The prospective corporate partner should have a recognisable brand that doesn’t market controversial products of services such as alcohol, tobacco, adult content etc. and the brand should have a reputation for demonstrating corporate social responsibility standards. The alliance should not threaten HPSA’s non-profit status and HPSA will reserve the right to review and approve all program materials using HPSA’s brand.
Prospective corporate partners should also note that HPSA will not endorse products or services and that a partnership with the organisation is solely based on the intention of helping fulfil HPSA’s mission to better the livelihoods of vulnerable communities and create a future that is free from hunger.
There are alternate ways for individuals to also make an impact with HPSA by getting involved and volunteering or donating to HPSA online fundraising for charities.
