Originally from Poland, designer Kat van Duinen relocated from Europe to Cape Town where she focused her passion for elegance and founded her eponymous company in 2010.
The Kat van Duinen label has since established itself as a leading luxury label and it’s recognized for its signature exoctic leather pieces and exquisite garments which all share a minimalistic aesthetic and unique style. Kat van Duinen collections are a magnificent fusion of Kat van Duinen’s European heritage and the rich South Africa culture - a place she now calls home.
The Kat van Duinen company started out solely as a producer of luxury leather goods, but quickly grew into the fashion powerhouse that stands today. It specializes in refined craftsmanship, sophisticated design with premium and ethically sourced materials, made all in South Africa and available internationally. The materials used for each product are authentic, quality and luxury materials made from various genuine exotic leathers and natural-fibre textiles.

The company is also committed to sourcing materials, whenever possible, from South African suppliers in order to pour back into the local industry and create a more sustainable local production chain.
