Scenic Trails
The Soutpansberg Forest Trails can be accessed from Louis Trichardt. Explore Hangklip Forest and Entabeni Forest, which includes an attractive picnic area.
Leshiba Wilderness lies 50 km from Louis Trichardt and has a network of gravel roads and animal tracks criss-crossing the 4 km by 7 km reserve with enough variation in terrain to make for a challenging crank through a unique landscape. There is a map available at reception, but day visits by arrangement only. Grading is from easy to difficult.
The Medike Mountain Reserve 35 km west of Louis Trichardt offers various options; 8 km and 22 km return trails on mountainous dirt tracks and farm roads. The 8 km has steep dirt tracks on the side of a gorge for thrilling but demanding mountain biking. The 22 km route is flatter. Day visitors are welcome by arrangement. Grading is easy to intermediate.
