Along with camping, Mopani Rest Camp accommodation in Kruger Park offers a range of self-catering types, including bungalows, cottages, and a luxury guest house.
Aside from the campsites, Mopani Rest Camp accommodation consists of three different self-catering options: single room bungalows, family-friendly cottages, and the Xaxanetsi Guesthouse.
The bungalows are great for those on a shoestring. It offers the basics like a bathroom, kitchenette and outside veranda with a braai. Travelling with your whole brood? The guest cottages are super comfortable, with a total of four bedrooms and additional sleeper couches.
Of course, the crème de la crème of camp is indeed the eight-bedroom Xanatseni Guest House with its a spacious lounge, dining area, and kitchen. It also features its own outside bar and veranda area with views reaching out over the Pioneer Dam.
Looking for something unique? Mopani Rest Camp also features an incredible sleep out hide. During the day it functions as a bird hide but at night, it can be used to stay in. It comes with a total of six fold-down beds, an eco-toilet and a small boma with braai facilities.
In addition to Mopani Rest Camp accommodation, the list of facilities includes a laundromat, bar, restaurant, self-service cafeteria, a petrol station, and a well-stocked grocery shop. There are plenty of designated braai and picnic facilities too, along with a dedicated bird hide.
