You can stop at scenic restaurants along the many routes in Midlands Meander.

The Midlands Meander is an inland region of KwaZulu-Natal Province along the foothills of the Drakensberg. It encompasses towns such as Mooi River (north), Hilton (south) and Karkloof (east). The region consists of five routes that wind through small towns, and farmlands dotted with dairy cows and horses.

In this region, visitors can access game reserves, art studios, cheese farms, crafters at work, farm stalls, galleries and unique lodges and accommodation. Activities in the Midlands range from sedate art classes, museums and sites of ancient rock art to more adventurous options such as mountain biking, hiking, horse riding and fishing for trout and bass.
