What makes Malelane Private Camp in Kruger Park so unique, is that it’s the only camp located right on the southern boundary of Kruger National Park.
Tucked between the South African bushveld and rolling sugar cane fields, its setting is hard to top. And since it’s quite small and secluded, you’ll encounter fewer tourists, get to see more wildlife and never have to queue for the shower.
Malelane Private Camp accommodation consists of campsites and bungalows, with expert-led guided game viewing activities available at the Malelane Gate a short drive away. This is also the official reception of the camp where you can check-in and out and gather updated information for self-drive routes.
As for wildlife nearby, leopards are often seen lurking around the dam at the camp’s entrance. Packs of African wild dog have also been reported, with curious elephants, genets and hyenas coming close to the fence. Malelane Private Camp is also a birder’s paradise, packing all sorts of safari specials like Burchell's Coucal, Yellow-billed Hornbill, and the Fiery-necked Nightjar.
