Letaba Rest Camp guarantees a Kruger Park wildlife safari like no other, with expert-led game drives and guided bush walks available.

Guided Game Drives

As a guest at Letaba Rest Camp, you’ll have a choice of twice-daily game drives led by experienced tracker-guides. With a total of three rivers (Great Letaba, Middle Letaba and Small Letaba) and three dams (Mingerhout, Engelhardt and Nhlanganini) closeby, you’re guaranteed some of the best wildlife sightings of your entire Kruger Park wildlife safari holiday.

Birdwatching

With Letaba being a well-foliated riverine camp, expect to witness a wonderful variety of birds, from Marico sunbirds and Crested barbets to Black-headed Orioles and Black-eyed Bulbuls. The list is endless. Birder’s tip: the Matambeni hide near the Engelhardt Dam will give you a prime vantage point from which to observe water-loving birds like storks, egrets, and kingfishers.

Visit the Elephant Hall

Letaba Rest Camp is brimming with wildlife, but the real stars of the show are the elephants. Often seen marauding the surrounding plains and mopane thickets, these local ellies are so well-loved that the staff have set up a dedicated Elephant Hall for guests. This educational hub presents detailed information on their origin and ecology. There is also an impressive ivory collection showcasing the tusks of the legendary 'Magnificent Seven'.
