Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve

Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve, 11 kilometres south of Johannesburg city centre, is a near 680 hectare nature reserve. Its name means ‘stone river mountain’. The reserve is home to about 200 bird species, more than 600 plant species, wildlife, which includes blesbok, zebra and duiker; as well as a rich archaeological site.

The reserve has several access points which one can use to get there. The Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve has two entrances. The Precinct entrance on Peggy Vera Road is about 200 metres after the entrance for the Recreation Centre. The second entrance is at the end of Frandaph Drive in Mondeor, and parking is in the cul-de-sac.
