Rated as one of South Africa's favourite towns, Kleinmond arguably has all the important boxes ticked. It is an easy drive from the major city of Cape Town; natural splendour abounds, with a river and estuary, spectacular mountains and a coast line to go wild on; and adventure and leisure options in the area will appeal to all ages and types.

Even though Kleinmond has outgrown its ‘sleepy holiday village’ status, this vibrant little dorp has managed to retain its amicable charm. It is surrounded by water on three sides: the Atlantic Ocean to the south, the Palmiet River estuary to the west, and Kleinmond Lagoon to the east.

The choice of aqua activities - of both the fresh and saltwater varieties - is endless, while both the mountains and Blue Flag beaches will keep you happy. Back in town you can slow it down; pop into a few small-town shops, visit an art gallery, tuck into some sushi, or chill with a cocktail on a deck while taking in the sunset.
