Game Drives

Kapama Southern Camp offers early morning and late afternoon game drives. Your days start with a wake up call with some tea and coffee. You'll set out into the reserve as the sun begins to rise, accompanied by the well trained rangers and trackers. Follow the spoor left from the wildlife and feast your eyes on the wonders of the many and varied shapes, sizes and actions of the wild game.

With the knowledgeable guides here, you are assured an amazing learning experience as they explain the various interactions that the animals make with each other.

Photography Workshops

If you are looking to improve your wildlife photography skills, you can embark on a workshop whilst staying at Kapama Southern Camp. The workshop is aimed at beginner and intermediate photographers and is hosted by a professional wildlife photographer. The day includes some classroom theory, as well as hands-on game drives in a private vehicle dedicated for those on the course.

Romantic Sleep Out

Spend a romantic night under a canopy of stars, out in the wilds. Watch the sunset as you sip your favourite drink with your loved one. You'll dine on a five course dinner, skillfully prepared by a private chef which is served to you at your intimate table for two. You can then ascend onto your raised platform to your king-sized bed draped with crisp white linen and billowing mosquito netting.

The platform, complete with a luxurious bathroom below, is both animal proof and safe. Your ranger with drop you off just before sunset and return to you after dawn so that you can enjoy an evening in complete privacy enveloped by lantern light. A two-way radio and cell phone are supplied for your peace of mind.

Dining

Kapama Southern Camp serves breakfast and lunch in a refined open-sided dining room furnished in elegant style. Imbibe on fine South African wines from the frameless glass-fronted wine cellar, which forms the focal point of the room. On clear, starry nights, you can enjoy a firelight dinner under the stars in the traditional boma. Watch the chefs as they prepare an array of delicious foods right in front of you.
