Her unique music is a mash-up of various sounds, ranging primarily from rock ‘n roll to classical music. A musical storyteller, Jennifer draws inspiration from the complexity of life, which is evident in her meaningful lyrics, powerful voice and skillful piano and guitar playing.
She has performed at the Cape Town Folk and Acoustic Music Festival (2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017) and has shared the stage with other prominent South African musicians such as David Kramer, Albert Frost, Vusi Mahlasela and Ard Matthews
In addition to performing as an independent artist, she is also part of a musical group called Jenny and the Jameses. The band is comprised of Jennifer as the lead vocal, piano and guitar; James Harvey - a multi-instrumentalist on harp, flute, banjo, vocals and accordion; while the last James, James Hall is on vocals and violin.
When Jennifer is not creating music, she is teaching it. She provides lessons in vocal training, piano - contemporary and classical, and folk guitar.
