Hermanus is a beautiful fishing village famous for the whales that come here annually to calve. The Hermanus Golf Course is a scenic and modern course with lots of charm.

The recent improvements have created an opportunity for a real challenge if the course is played from the back tees, while the introduction of different tees (championship, members, seniors and ladies) will allow all levels of golfers to participate in competitions. With 27 holes, this course has great range and generous widths.

The Hermanus Golf Course wetlands have been restored and incorporated into the course. Local and international golfers can enjoy their games amidst the visual magnificence of the greens and browns of the fine-leaved Fynbos flora, enhanced by delicate splashes of colour from a variety of erica's sedges and proteas, accompanied by the sounds of the clicking stream frogs and colorful endemic birds darting in between the bushes.

After a great lunch at one of Hermanus’ renowned restaurants, you can enjoy some whale watching on the coast - southern right whales are often spotted from the shoreline during their annual calving season. Nature walks, mountain biking and wine tasting opportunities are abundant in the area.

An overnight stay in Hermanus offers a range of accommodation, such as seaside cottages, hotels, luxury guesthouses and B&Bs suited to families, couples and solo travellers alike.
