Gariep Dam Nature Reserve

Free State's Largest Nature Reserve

The Free State’s largest nature reserve combines an enormous dam on the Orange River and a game sanctuary along its northern shore.

The dam is popular with anglers and boating enthusiasts. Adjoining the reserve is an Aventura resort with a wide range of facilities, including tennis, golf, bowls and various water sports.
