Game Drives
Game drives are not just for those in the Kruger National Park. At Botlierskop, the ultimate way to get out into the wilderness is a 4x4 game drive. Night drives with a spotlight will present you with the opportunity to see nocturnal creatures such as serval, jackals, bats, owls and perhaps even the more elusive leopards as they skulk around under the cover of darkness.Guided Walks
During your guided walk, the passionate and knowledgeable tracker-guides will teach you about the medicinal use of the local plants and trees, as well as pointing out the smaller animals - birds, reptiles and insects that are often overlooked on game drives. Each walk lasts around 2 hours.
Horseback Safari
Botlierskop’s horseback safaris are a unique experience for you to further explore the surrounding landscape at a relaxed pace, without intruding on the natural environment. You can choose between a 1, 2 or 3-hour option. Children over 6 six years old can participate in this activity.Activities for Kids
Children can participate in a junior rangers programme led by the experienced ranger guides. They will teach the younger guests how to identify animal tracks, and how to identify various animal species by their sounds and habits.
There is also African face painting, kiddie’s massage and catch-and-release fishing with the guides. Only children between 6 and 12 years can join in the activities and stay at Botlierskop Private Game Reserve.
