Falaza Game Park, KwaZulu-Natal

At Falaza Game Park, experienced Zulu rangers will take you on exciting game drive safaris in open 4x4 vehicles to encounter the wildlife on the reserve.

Game Drives

See game such as giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, blesbuck, nyala, warthog and other African wildlife species. There is also a spectacular variety of birdlife, especially near the wetlands. Game drives head out in the morning and evening. On request, a night game drive can be taken after dinner, where you search with a flashlight for the shyer nocturnal creatures.

Bush Walks

At this private reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, the early mornings are ideal for walking. The walks are not strenuous and allow you to get close to the wildlife without disturbing them. Stretch your legs and take a stroll in the coastal forests with your knowledgeable guide. Take some time to appreciate the beauty and serenity of the South African bush.

Boat Cruises

Take a morning boat cruise on the Mzinene River, which runs through the reserve. The four rivers that feed the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park, make it a haven for the fantastic birdlife. Your knowledgeable ranger-guides will be on hand to answer your questions, and to point out unusual sights as you sail through the water. This unique cruise can be enjoyed as a morning cruise or as a sunset cruise as you gently glide along watching some breathtaking bird life and you have a good chance of also seeing Hippo and Crocodile.

Kids

Family safaris are always good fun, as it’s a time of learning and sharing experiences all together. Kids of all ages are welcome at the Falaza Game Park and Spa. Your kids can join you on game drives as you explore the bushveld together. The child-friendly guides take the youngsters on an amphibian hunt, for some fun ‘frogging’ activities. Kid-friendly guided walks out into the bush, exploring the creatures is a great way for your children to develop a love for nature. In the evenings, the guides will also teach them the wonders of the night skies with some star gazing.
If you need some time to yourself, for some pampering at the spa, no problem as there is a babysitting service available. The Falaza Game Park and Spa also has a TV, board games and a pool to keep your little ones amused. Cots, high chairs, kiddies’ menus and early dining times for the youngsters are all part of the family amenities at Falaza.
