Your Experience

Named after the noble bateleur eagle, Bateleur Bushveld Camp in Kruger Park stands as one of the oldest, and well-known bushveld camps in the Kruger National Park.

As a small, secluded camp (just seven chalets), you’re guaranteed an intimate safari experience where the focus is purely on game viewing and appreciating the tranquility of the South African bushveld.

There are two dams nearby – the Silwervis and Rooibosrand – which you can explore on Kruger Park self-drives, or guided game drives departing twice-daily. These are the main hotspots for a plethora of bird species (yes, Bateleurs too), as well as other Kruger favourites like hippos and crocs. What’s great is that these dams are reserved for exclusive use by guests of the camp, so you’ll never have to endure a safari traffic jam, even during peak season.

The game viewing doesn’t stop there. Bateleur Bushveld Camp in Kruger Park also features its own game-viewing hide overlooking a nearby waterhole, so you can expect top-notch sightings without even venturing beyond the perimeter.
